Parker's innovative work was first seen in the October, 1971, issue of Cycle World. His monocoque-chassied, two-stroke-powered, "kneeler" roadracer was awarded honorable mention in the magazine's future-bike design contest.
Parker's first single sided swingarm prototype began life as a Honda XL600. Back in 1984, Wayne Rainey rode the bike at Willow Springs Raceway and came away impressed with its abilities.
The 1987 MC^3 prototype mated a Yamaha FZ750 with Parker's RADD front end. Completely functional, the bike sparked major interest and led to production of the Yamaha GTS.
Yamaha produced for sale to the general public this hub centre steering tourer with antilock brakes and a massive 1003cc engine. The bike was a heavy weight coming in at 553lbs.
James Parker decided to get racy with this design for a front swingarmed 250-class front-runner.
And here's the actual bikes, sans skin...
